Medicine and diagnostics include the capability to use x-ray(pictured here) and laboratory testing to facilitate diagnosis. Therapy is often pursued on an outpatient basis, but we do have full capability to provide hospitalization and nursing care as needed.

Routine dental care, always a necessary part of good health for your pet, is provided in our dental center. Dental care usually requires anesthesia. Proper agents and monitoring minimize any risk to your pet.

Small animal dentistry

Shockwave therapy, administered using special instrumentation, constitutes a new modality for dealing with painful conditions of muscles and bones. For example, pets suffering from degenerative joint disease may respond well to this or other alternative modalities when medications are ineffective.

We offer two distinct surgical options. Conventional surgical treatments (pictured here) are the norm at most veterinary locations. Patients are monitored during surgery to maximize anesthetic safety.

Conventional surgery

In addition to conventional surgery here at Hill Country we also have capability to use CO2 laser techniques. The laser lends itself to certain types of procedures, and when appropriate often contributes to faster healing, less trauma, and quicker recovery times.

Ancillary services like pet boarding for our clients, and grooming are provided. Boarding is by reservation. Boarders are kept in sanitized compartments in our temperature controlled wards. Animals left for boarding are kept totally separated from contagious patients.

Client Pet Boarding

Our experienced groomer also works "by appointment", so please call for more information. A variety of cuts and grooming looks are offered. Please book as early as possible for both grooming and boarding, especially during holiday seasons.

Small Animal Grooming

We stock a variety of pet health products, including heartworm preventatives and flea and tick control products. Also offered are Hill's premium and prescription diets.
