Outpatient Surgery -
Admitted between 7-8:30am Monday-Friday and released after 2:30 the same day.
- Dogs must be current on the following vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper,
Parvo, Corona, Lepto, Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and Giardia.
- Cats are required to have a current Rabies, and Distemper complex
with Leukemia and Giardia.
Intensive Care-
Provided at the hospital 24 hours a day. The doctor may be reached by calling

Laser Surgery-
Dr. Nightingale is experienced in CO2 Laser Surgery which usually results in
less pain, less bleeding and less postoperative swelling. Laser Surgery significantly
reduces infection risk and can be more accurate in removal of unhealthy tissue
such as tumor growth.
Alternative Therapeutics-
Modalities used over the past twenty years by Dr. Nightingale in small and large
animals including:
- Shockwave Therapy- Provides healing in many areas in dogs
cats and horses which previously required surgery or continued treatment and
medications. Such conditions include degenerative joint disease, tendon and
ligament inflammations, sore back syndrome, navicular disease and laminitis.
- Acupuncture-
Ancient historically effective treatment methods, derived from the Far East
and Orient. Often used to compliment modern therapeutics.
- Chiropractic Manipulation- Alternative therapeutic approach
proven beneficial in some instances, particularly as regards disease or injury
involving muscles and the skeleton.
Dentistry-
- Companion animals receive general anesthesia and are maintained
on anesthetic gas and oxygen with vital sign monitoring during the procedure.
- Horses receive a detailed oral examination followed by contouring
with the PowerFloat(R) equipment.
Boarding-
Schedule small animal boarding well in advance for our air-conditioned kennel
facility. Dogs are walked twice daily by our kennel attendants.
- Dogs and cats must have current vaccinations and on admission
be free of signs of external parasitism. We reserve the right to test for internal
parasitism if indicated and treat accordingly while kenneled.
- Horses are required to have a current negative Coggins test or
be tested on admission.
Grooming/Baths-
Mary Beth accepts grooming by appointment. Animals are admitted by 9:30am Monday
through Friday. Please call for an appointment as she has a fairly full schedule.
Current vaccinations are required.
Premium Diets-
We dispense Hill's Science and Prescription Diets, and Innova Diets
which are preservative free.
Ambulatory-
Dr. Nightingale makes home calls with the fully equipped mobile veterinary unit.
Typically our area of such service is up to 60 miles from the hospital.
